After a year of no new Black Mirror, Charlie Brooker's trippy, life-destroying sci-fi series returned with an interactive choose-your-own-adventure style game disguised as a TV movie. Its name? "Bandersnatch." Its purpose? To drive Twitter completely up the wall.

"Bandersnatch"uses Netflix's interactive story features to allow the audience to choose what happens to Stefan, a young video game developer living in 1984. What begins as a tale of Stefan pursuing his dreams in the industry quickly morphs into...well, not that. Everything but that. And it's all the player's fault.

Since the story asks users to make choices, some people got caught up on the game's first choice — what Stefan has for breakfast.

And others were worried that their cereal choice was responsible for the horrors that came after.

It may have been a little cruel of Netflix and Black Mirrorto put so much responsibility in the hands of mere mortals.

And once players got to the meat of the episode, all bets were off.

Then again, there's plenty of replay value in "Bandersnatch" if you have the stomach for it.

Happy choosing, everybody!
