Apple's iPhone 15 Pro Max may come a month later than the other iPhone 15 variants, new report claims.
Citing a note from a major analyst, 9to5Mac says that Apple plans to launch the iPhone 15 lineup of the devices in three weeks (likely on Sept. 12, per previous reports), and start shipping 10 days later. But that's only for the iPhone 15, the iPhone 15 Plus, and the iPhone 15 Pro models; the Pro Max variant might start shipping three to four weeks later.
This is reportedly due to Sony, which supplies camera parts for Apple, not being able to provide the image sensor used by the iPhone 15 Pro Max's camera on time. This implies that only the iPhone 15 Pro Max, and not the iPhone 15 Pro, will receive the rumored periscope-based telephoto camera.
None of this would be extremely out of the ordinary for Apple. For example, the iPhone 12 Pro Max had a more advanced camera than its smaller sibling. On the other hand, the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max were basically identical save for the size and battery capacity differences.

This is not the first time we've heard of Apple's upcoming iPhone 15 models being delayed. In July, a Bank of America analyst predicted that the iPhone 15 might come a few weeks later than expected, though the note did not specify which model.
