It's been a couple of years since Bruce Banner started turning into the Hulk in the MCU timeline, so it would stand to reason that his alter ego's vocabulary would be improving.

Mark Ruffalo spilled details about the big fella during Marvel's Thor: Ragnarokpanel on Saturday at Comic-Con, including that he won't be playing much Bruce Banner.

Hulk refuses to turn back into Banner on [the planet] Sakaar because he's a champion gladiator," Ruffalo said. "And he's enjoying his life for once, and he'll be damned if he's gonna go back to Banner.

"He's a little perma-Hulked," Banner continued. "And because he's been the Hulk for two years, now, he has the vocabulary of a two-year-old. We have a Speaking Hulk."

"We have a Speaking Hulk!"

"Are you sure you can say that?" said moderator Chris Hardwick.

"Too late," Ruffalo said. "We may or may not have a speaking Hulk in Thor 3... in which everyone may or may not die."

You see a bit of Hulk's more advanced vocalization at the end of the new Thor: Ragnarok trailer, which Marvel dropped later in the panel.

"Hulk like raging fire," the big fella says with some attempt at elegance. "Thor like smoldering fire."

Thor: Ragnarokcomes out Nov. 17.
